Symbols of capital cites of Europe

Historical cities have often developed from small settlements, or reasons for their establishment were purely historical. However, many cities and towns have legends and tales that explain how the cities started. That is the case of three capital cities of countries that created this project. We can start a trip in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, whose symblo is a figure of a mermaid. The coat of arms of Warsaw shows a woman with a fish tail, on a red background, raising a saber in her right hand and holding a round shield in her left hand. The hair, saber, and shield are golden. There is a royal crown above the coat of arms. The Mermaid is not only the coat of arms but also a symbol of Warsaw associated with its creation.
