In one of the Belogradchik rocks` legends, a beautiful nun fell inlove with a shepherd, but the old abbess hurried to Vita and dragged her back to her cell. In one of the Romanian legends of the Bride`s Cave, the daughter of a local shepherd fell in love with a young, poor boy who worked for her father. But he disapproved of their love and married her to another rich young lad. Four days after the wedding, she committed suicide, throwing herself into the salty lake.
