Successful escapes

In the Bulgarian story about St. Petka, she managed to escape from the Turks, because the smoke of the fire she lit, showed her a way out of the cave she hid in. The bread she made turned into stone and when the persecutors reached out the cave, they couldn`t find her. In the Romanian story of the Lady`s Rocks` (Pietrele Doamnei) when princess Elena and her daughter began to pray for salvation, great cliffs broke up and fell over the place where the princess`s fortune was hidden and buried the attackers. In both stories a sign from God appeared in the right time. There are also other similar legends speaking of how good people escaped from evil - check the travel.
